Very common example is when your Excel data is presented in a row and you want to have it in a column. In other words you want to transpose or switch Excel column or row data so Column A data becomes Row A data, Column B data becomes Row B data and so on.To do that you should use Excel's transpose feature.

To switch Excel columns and rows:
1. Open the spreadsheet.
2. Select the required cells so they are highlighted.
3. Right-click the mouse and select Copy from the Edit menu.
6. Choose any cell outside your selected range (it can be the same or different Worksheet).
7. Right-click the mouse and select Paste Special from the Edit menu.
9. In the Paste Special dialog checkbox for Transpose.
10. Click OK.
